The origin of aids

Aids originated from africa? It is true, why wasnt any slave brought from africa centuries ago, had any record of dying from aids and any american master of any african slave, died of aids due to having sex with his slave? If aids was native to africa, the continent should had very little population of human beings, long time ago!
